On January 25th, the Crystal Serenity sailed out to sea from San Francisco on the 2016 Crystal World Cruise with 26 of Cruise Specialists guests! Keeping the journey interesting, another 7 guests will be joining our group for specific segments throughout the 102 day journey.
As always, the Cruise Specialists team not only handles all the details from finding the perfect cabin, on the cruise line that’s best for you, with the port stops that will interest you most, but we also love doing extra special things to set the tone for a wonderful trip!
In true Cruise Specialists style a special curated gift was hand delivered, for the extra personal touch, to each guests stateroom!
Each embroidered bag contained a selection of local California goodies: a Crystal calendar, caramel corn with a chocolate anchor tied to the bag, Pan e Vino bread sticks (unbelievably good bread sticks to have with wine), a split of Mumm Napa champagne and a Ghiradelli Salted Caramel chocolate bar.
ON BOARD
The Crystal Serenity plaza was decked in hundreds of balloons the first night for gala to welcome the 358 world cruise guests and celebrate the journey they were about to take to 48 ports in 19 countries! After the welcome greeting from Crystal’s CEO/President, Edie Rodriquez, the balloons were dropped and there was endless popping.
Of the full World Cruise guests on board Sunday (a day earlier than travelers embarking on one of the voyages abbreviated segments), more than 100 have sailed the annual epic voyage in years past, while a whopping 170 guests were embarking on their first ever World Cruise. And, in the spirit of kicking off one’s Crystal Experience in six-star style, 67 full World Cruisers had just boarded a Crystal ship for the first time ever.
Dinner was impeccable as always from the food to even the presentation of the meals! The ten waiters carried our plates and marched around the table a couple of times, then at a signal all ten waiters placed the plates in front of guests. It’s these little touches which keep our clients coming back to Crystal!
While the full gala presentation of food might only happen the first night, there are plenty of other wonderful events like cocktail hour and shows in the Galaxy lounge to see that Crystal is always providing top notch service.
